The 6th-semester students and faculty member Mr.Isaac Vanlalhruaia of The Department of Education, Govt. Hrangbana College actively participated in the Purple Fair, an awareness programme organised by the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities, Regional Centre, Aizawl) in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment at A.R Ground Lammual, on 12th March 2025.

The event aimed to promote awareness, inclusion, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. It provided a platform for interaction, understanding, and collaboration between persons with disabilities and the wider community.

As part of their participation, the 6th semester students presented a heartwarming song “Aw Nang Kan Lal Kan Pathian”, in sign language joined by persons with disabilities, symbolising unity, inclusivity, and mutual respect.

In addition to their performance, the students also volunteered to serve refreshments to all attendees. Their dedication and service contributed to the smooth organisation of the event and created a welcoming environment for everyone present. The involvement of the students in the Purple Fair not only enhanced the success of the programme but also provided them with valuable insights into the importance of empathy, inclusivity, and community service. Their participation reflected a genuine commitment to social responsibility and contributed to raising awareness about the rights and abilities of persons with disabilities.
