Mechanism to obtain feedback from students and made use internally for curriculum enrichment and introducing changes/new programmes

The existing programs are reviewed and new programmes are introduced to create better opportunities for students. Feedback from students, alumni, parents, academic peers and community are obtained for formulation and introduction of new courses.

Students: A Profoma based on NAAC recommendations has been designed to obtain feedback on curriculum, effective application of teaching methods, time management, subject command, helping attitude and class control. The Profoma is distributed through random selection of students.

Alumni: Alumnae Meet which is a regular feature provides a platform to its old students to participate in college activities and give their valuable suggestions on curriculum.

Parents: The feedback on curriculum is obtained during the Parent-Teacher Meet organized to explain to the parents the performance of their children/ward and obtain their feedback on the functioning of the college.

Academic Peers: National seminars, conferences, workshops and extension lectures organized from time to time facilitate exchange of ideas with the peer group and update the faculty about the latest emerging trends.

The feedback thus obtained is analysed. In-house departmental meetings are held to review the courses and programmes. The Principal discusses the key findings with the Heads of the Departments. Resolutions adopted after consultations with the Managing Committee are communicated to the affiliating university for approval. The changes recommended in various courses are put forward in Board of Studies meetings by the member teachers for appropriate inclusion by the university.
