On September 7, 2026, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the ICT Committee, Government Hrangbana College, organized a workshop titled "Smart Teaching and Digital Pedagogy: Enhancing Quality, Innovation and Student Engagement in Higher Education” at the Geography Core Room. The programme was attended by 50 faculty and staff members, focusing on faculty and staff and particularly on new teachers.

The inaugural session was chaired by the Principal Mr. Lalthlengliana Hrahsel and the second and technical session was chaired by IQAC Coordinator Dr. Juliet Lalremmawii Ralte. Both highlighted the critical need for digital literacy in modern higher education, emphasizing that mastering digital platforms like Moodle, the Hereus ERP system, and interactive smart boards is essential for enriching the teaching-learning process and streamlining institutional administrative operations.

The technical sessions provided comprehensive training across three key digital domains:

College Moodle Platform: Sir Rohmingliana Ralte (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mizo) guided participants through basic site navigation, account setup, and profile management workflows. Sir Lalrawngbawla (Associate Professor, Dept. of Geography) followed with advanced Moodle operations, demonstrating how to upload course contents, embed online resources, and design digital assessments like quizzes, assignment portals, and Q&A forums.

Interactive Smart Board Operations: Technical staff member Sir Lalropianga and Sir Laldingliana (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce) conducted a practical demonstration on using the new smart boards. They covered core touch interfaces, digital annotations, screen mirroring, and combining smart board features with live Moodle instruction.

Hereus College ERP System: Sir Lalberkhawpuimawia (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mizo) delivered an orientation on the Hereus ERP platform, detailing essential tools for managing student records and departmental administrative workflows.

The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session where faculty members resolved technical queries. The event officially closed with a vote of thanks and prayer offered by Vice Principal Sir Lalchangliana (Associate Professor, Dept. of Commerce), thanking the organizers, resource persons, and participants for a successful training session.
