The Health and Medical Committee and the Red Ribbon Club of Govt Hrangbana College collaborated with Mizoram State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) in successfully organising HIV/AIDS and TB Awareness Program and Comprehensive Health Checkup in the Golden Hall & The Arena of the College on the 5th August 2026
The Resource Persons were

2. Dr Lalhuthangi Hmar, Representative from Doctors Against HIV/AIDS (DAHA)
3. Mr C. Lalduhawma, District PPM Coordinator
4. Dr Chawnglungmuana, Representative, Indian Medical Association (IMA)
5. Mrs Lalneihzeli Sailo, Assistant Director, MSACS
The resource persons explained HIV transmission routes, prevention methods, importance of safe practices, ART treatment etc. They also explained how substance abuse like drugs and alcohol increases risky behavior and also enlightened the students on the importance of maintaining a fit body and healthy mind in making better life choices.
A quiz session was also held which made the program fun and engaging.
A free Health Checkup was conducted at the Arena of the college where doctors and technicians ran several tests like BP check, Blood sugar test, HIV test, blood grouping and TB screening.
TB screening _ 264 students were screened
HIV Test done for 269 students
