The State Level Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): “Essential Dos and Don’ts” successfully concluded on 16th May 2025 at the I&PR Auditorium. The event was organized by the Intellectual Property Rights Cell, GHBC, in collaboration with the Mizoram Science, Technology, and Innovation Council and the Department of Mizo, GHBC.
The seminar commenced with an inspiring Welcome Address delivered by Prof. Lalbiakzuali, Chairperson. The inaugural session also included the Book Release of Valzotea Rûn Mawi, followed by a speech from Er. H. Lalsawmiana, Chief Scientific Officer, MISTIC, who graced the event as the Chief Guest.
After the inaugural session, attendees enjoyed a brief tea break, providing an opportunity for networking and informal discussions.
The first technical session was moderated by Dr. Rosaline Varsangzuali and featured insightful presentations from Mr. Joel Lalbiakkima, Scientific Officer at MISTIC, and Mr. Jeremiah Vanlalhmachhuana, Officer-in-Charge of the Cyber Crime PS. The session focused on the essential practices of safeguarding intellectual property and included an engaging Interaction & Discussion with the participants.
The second technical session was moderated by Mr. Lalrinngheta, with Mr. C. Laltlanzuala, Project Scientist-I at MISTIC, serving as the resource person. This session covered advanced aspects of intellectual property rights, providing attendees with valuable insights into the ongoing developments in the IPR field. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing attendees to engage with the speakers and deepen their understanding.
The seminar provided an excellent platform for learning and sharing knowledge about intellectual property rights. The expert speakers shared practical advice on how individuals and organizations can navigate the complexities of intellectual property, and participants left with a stronger understanding of the “Essential Dos and Don’ts” for managing their intellectual property.
