The Department of Education, Govt. Hrangbana College, in collaboration with NexGen Organization, organized a seminar titled "Danglamna Siam Theitu Thalaite." The seminar was conducted to discuss the crucial role of youth in bringing about positive change in society. The event aimed to inspire, educate, and empower young people to take responsibility for social transformation, leadership, and community development.
2. Objectives of the Seminar
1. To highlight the importance of youth in societal development.
2. To discuss challenges faced by young people in creating change.
3. To provide guidance on leadership and active participation.
4. To encourage youth to engage in constructive social activities.
3. Highlights of the Seminar
The seminar featured distinguished speakers from NexGen Organization.
• Chairperson: Dr. Lalmalsawmi Hmar, Chairman of NexGen Organization, chaired the meeting and spoke about the role of youth in nation-building. She emphasized the power of young minds in shaping the future and shared her experiences as a medical doctor and pediatrician, inspiring students towards social activism and governance.
• Resource Person: Dr. Vanlalsiama Chhangte, Board Member of NexGen Organization and Medical Director at Ebenezer Medical Centre, served as the resource person. He discussed common obstacles youth face and strategies to overcome them. He highlighted the importance of goal-setting, integrity, leadership, and discipline in achieving success.
• Interactive Session: The resource person had prepared a questionnaire beforehand to address queries and understand the students' mindsets. These questions were answered anonymously through Google Forms. Following the first session, the Chairperson presided over an interactive discussion where student queries were addressed by members of NexGen Organization.
The seminar concluded with a strong message: youth must take the initiative to bring about change rather than wait for others to act. It successfully inspired participants to embrace their roles as changemakers and emphasized that the future depends on proactive and responsible youth who dare to make a difference. The seminar was a valuable and impactful event, equipping students with knowledge and motivation to take on leadership roles in their respective communities.
