The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), conducted a two-day training program for newly empanelled SMART trainers at the NISM campus in Patalganga, Maharashtra, on January 16-17, 2025. This program aimed to equip trainers with the tools and expertise needed to educate individuals about securities markets effectively.

 

Objective of the Program

The training sought to:

  • Familiarize trainers with SEBI’s regulations and the securities market landscape.
  • Enhance instructional techniques for quality training delivery.
  • Build a strong network of certified trainers capable of guiding investors and stakeholders in understanding the securities market.

 

Samuel Lalthanliana, a faculty member of Govt. Hrangbana College, was one of the participants. Notably, he is the first SEBI Securities Market Trainer (SMART) from Mizoram, marking a significant milestone for the state.
