Kargil Vijay Diwas falls on 26 July to commemorate India’s victory in the 1999. In 2025, this date fell on a Saturday, which was the institution's regular holiday. As a result, formal commemorative events could not be conducted on campus.

The NCC Unit of Govt. Hrangbana College observed Kargil Vijay Diwas with a solemn and respectful program that combined ceremonial tributes, patriotic expressions, and participatory learning. Captivating cadets with structured activities and motivational reflections, the observance successfully honored the spirit of sacrifice and inspired youth towards civic responsibility—aligning well with broader NCC commemorative traditions.

The event began with a flag hoisting, followed by the National Anthem. NCC cadets and two Care taker Officers observed a two-minute silence to honor the 527 soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Kargil War

Educational Segment: A short talk by Dr. Melody Laltanpuii, Caretaker Officer, NCC, Govt. Hrangbana College unit outlined the strategic and historical context of the conflict, emphasizing lessons of resilience and national pride similar to programs conducted in other institutions.

The Senior Under Officer delivered closing remarks, inspiring cadets to internalize the legacy of courage and to contribute positively to society. Followed by a photo session.
