The Department of Political Science, Government Hrangbana College, organized a One-Day Workshop on “Career Opportunities in the Armed Forces” on 4 February 2026 in the Department Room. The resource person for the programme was Mr. Jacob Lalchhanhima (Batch 2020–2023), who was selected through the prestigious Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination, UPSC 2025, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 215.

Mr. Jacob delivered an insightful and motivating lecture, sharing his experiences and guiding students on preparation strategies and career prospects in the armed forces. The session witnessed lively interaction, with students actively participating and raising queries, making the workshop highly engaging and informative.
