As part of an partial fulfilment of the degree course in Geography Department, students of the VIth Semester were taken to Muthi Village situated at a close vicinity of Aizawl city on 5^th March 2025 and surveyed the socio-economic conditions of the village. In the survey, as many as 100 families were covered.

It is anticipated that this will accurately reflect the village situation, where 170 families were listed as of th e 2011 census. The Muthi village has a population of 907 of which 470 are males and 437 are females

(2011 Census).

Muthi is a medium-sized village located in the Tlangnuam RD Block of Aizawl District.

34 students along with 3 Professors took part in the survey. In line with the survey conducted, a project report will be prepared.

It is interesting to note here the immense participative minds shown by the students. This is very much noteworthy. Students took active part in the survey and care had been taken while collecting the data so as to make the survey’s validity and reliability genuine.
