The NCC in Govt. Hrangbana College has been actively functioning since 1984 under the 20th Mizoram Independent Company and under the supervision of the Commanding Officer Col. Youdhvir Singh. The summarised activities of NCC throughout 2015-2016 are as follows:

  • Participated in the Republic Day Camp at Umroi Cantt, Military Station, Meghalaya and LNIPE, Guwahati. 5 cadets were selected to represent the North Eastern Region(NER) Directorate, and three cadets were finally selected to march at the Rajpat Parade in Delhi.
  • Participated in the 68th Independence Day Parade(2015) and won the First Prize in the Unarmed Category.


    • Camp attended:

  • Army Attachment Camp (AAC) - 2 cadets
  • Officers' Training Academy(OTA) in Chennai & Kamptee - 1 cadet each
  • All India Doon Trek at Dehradun, Uttarakhand - 3 cadets
  • NCC National Games in New Delhi -2 cadets
  • Combine Annual Training Camp(CATC) at Tanhril-many prizes won by the cadets.
  • 'B' & 'C' Certificate Examination: 33 cadets successfully attempted the examination


    • Other activities:

  • Trekking at Sialsuk, the Blue Mountain - Phawngpui Tlang(highest peak) and Chhimtuipui river.

    • *Two (2) NCC Cadet got direct recruitment as Army Commissioned Officers for their commendable performance and achievement in NCC.
